No, we shouldn't be surprised to see bullying as long as same-sex marriage is denied, Don't Ask Don't Tell remains, and groups like the Westboro Baptist Church still exist. Children learn everything from adults. They don't channel some magical ability for cruelty from somewhere else. Some of us are trying to bestow other gifts like kindness, empathy, compassion.
